Hi allI am four weeks away from finishing a Beauty Therapy course at MIT in Otara, I am 47 years old and for the first time in my life feel I have accomplished something really worth while other than giving birth to two great kids of course.I have really enjoyed this year, my classmates are awesome they are from many different cultures and age groups, our teachers are amazing, very helpful and really know their stuff. The most surprising thing about this course for me is the misconceptions most people would have in regards to the industry. To be a beauty therapist you need knowledge in Chemistry, Nutrition, Human Biology Customer Service and much more.We learn how to do manicure, pedicures massage facials waxing eyelash tinting and shaping and a lot lot more.Doing this course has been hard work but also very rewarding and enjoyable,I hope this blog may help anyone who feels that they are in a rut to really think about going out there and trying something different new and exciting weather it be a new career move, a new hobbie or meeting new people, Cheers
